Creating Self-Sustaining Consciousness

By | articles, manifestation, personal development

New Earth Coherence

Consciousness is the life behind all that we see – the plants you smell, the birds you watch and the starry sky you look up to at night. When you hear the word consciousness does this bring a heightened awareness of you? Do you feel yourself shifting focus? Are you thinking that you are thinking? Where I am about to bring you is something that is no longer hidden behind secret societies. These words are to bring an awareness into your consciousness so that you may take control of your life and begin to create what you have always wanted. Consciousness flows through every individual, every entity, and every form in the cosmos.

In life, you have the ability to grow and experience everything and anything in a number of infinite ways. The greatest blessing is that you get to control the joystick the whole time. This gives you a sense of excitement, right? It should. Since we control what we experience we have the power to change anything that is within our awareness. Let’s face it… Our current worldview is unsustainable, unreliable, and creates much destruction for ourselves and the environment. In this new paradigm of thinking, we will literally manifest a new way of living from a space of pure consciousness and awareness. This world is beautiful and self-sustaining though it’s up to us to create the same in our day through mastering our thoughts and emotions.

Self-sustaining intelligence

When we think of self-sustaining intelligence we tend to drift into the realm of robots and artificial intelligence; however, I am going to give a very different definition of self-sustaining intelligence in the view of world consciousness. By now you might have heard that your thoughts create your reality and this goes infinitely small (your subconscious mind) to the infinitely large (the universe or higher self). Your thoughts and emotions are connected and correlate to the way that you perceive and create in the world around you. By understanding how your thoughts and belief patterns create your reality we can begin to shift those and remove the beliefs that no longer serve your highest purpose or your path to the goals you’ve created. Being in balance with that which is around us is the first step of staying coherent and allowing this life to manifest itself.

Leaving Coherence

In order to maintain self-sustaining intelligence, we have to practice the art of energy and thought that is us. This is where bringing awareness to the self is so important. The HeartMath Institute of California has actually scientifically measured the energetic fields around the human body which is created from the heart and influenced by the mind. They have correlated these phenomena as the ‘field of coherence’, which all beings and life communicate through. When these fields are in harmonious vibrations which are controlled by our thoughts and emotions we can actually raise the vibrational frequency of the consciousness of the planet and ourselves! Now, this may seem outlandish but there are studies which prove this theory correct which you can read HERE. When our thoughts are not of love, joy, and happiness (yes even in rough situations) we actually start to create a disharmony in the world and within ourselves which influences EVERYTHING around us! It is quite phenomenal that science has now proven how these emotions and thoughts can influence our lives. Here are a couple ways you can see if you are out of coherence:

  1. You are feeling anxious
  2. You feel angry or resentful
  3. You are feeling doubtful
  4. You are out of control with your emotions

These are a few ways to tell if you are out of coherence or out of alignment with the heart field of coherence. These emotions can arise from the past, present, or future which is a direct result of your thoughts leaving the present moment. Now that we know what pulls us out of coherence let’s look at ways that bring us back into coherence and back to a balanced lifestyle.

Creating Coherence

We all experience an array of emotions which influence our daily lives. It’s up to us to support the ones that bring about self-sustaining thoughts and emotions. Some of you may feel like there is no way out and you may be right. Though there are ways if you choose which will align you once again into the heart field coherence. By becoming aware of your emotional standpoint at any given moment you can then begin to understand what thoughts are contributing to those emotions. As you begin to become aware you may release those thoughts by focusing your consciousness (your thoughts) on your heart and breathing in a rhythmic pattern. Here are 3 steps you can take to come back into coherence and a higher state of consciousness:

  1. Take 10 slow deep breaths focusing on releasing tension
  2. Become aware of your current thoughts. Answer these questions: How are they influencing your energy? Where do these thoughts stem from?
  3. Start remembering or envisioning something you find as joyful, as play or fun. Focus on these thoughts along with another 10 deep breaths focused on the heart or until you feel a sense of peace and tranquility wash over you.

Congratulations, you just came back into coherence!

Bringing ourselves into a harmonious state allows us to communicate more effectively, heal more efficiently, and enable us to be fully present in the moment. We are all connected through subtle energy fields which we can all attune to at any time if we choose. For this reason, it is imperative that we shift our awareness and live in a higher state of conscious creation. If you wish to understand more deeply about coherent fields, the heart, and how you can influence everything around you check out the Institute of HeartMath. They have mapped these fields of energy and have shown how our thoughts directly correlate with our coherence.

Bring Joy And Laugh At Anything

By | articles, life lessons, personal development

We all feel it sometimes – the urge to give in when things get tough. The bill collectors are calling, a loved one just passed, you got pulled over and written a ticket, the list goes on and on. You’re now in a state of stress and unhappiness and it’s easy to get caught there for an extended amount of time. How do you turn a negative into a positive? Well, let us break it down to the basics.

“A year from now you will have wished you started today” – Karen Lamb

I sat down with my good friend, Roman Garcia whos an entrepreneur, comedian, and talk show host to dive into how he makes the most of every situation. In this recent interview, Roman explained that it came down to two simple tricks that he uses to overcome a fearful or stressed mindset. The first key, break it down to the ridiculous. Create scenarios that endorse laughter for yourself. His second key, feed your spirit. Take a moment in those hard times to centre yourself back into the now. We’ll go in depth on how you can achieve each key and create your everlasting moments to happiness.

“I can accept failure, everyone fails at something. But I can’t accept not trying” – Michael Jordan

  • Break It Down To The Ridiculous

We all have days where something crazy happens and it knocks us off our feet. If you have a ‘bad’ situation make it so crazy that you can laugh at it. Not so much that it’s hurtful but crazy enough that you find humour in the situation. I will use the example of a debt collector who keeps calling. If you have experienced this or haven’t you probably know someone who may. Debt collectors are not a fun topic to think about. The owing money you may not have is daunting and confronting someone who’s asking for it can be stressful. To break this cycle we need to learn how we can lighten up the situation so we need to ask ourselves questions that help us to do so. To get on the brighter side we’re going to break it down to the ridiculous by asking these questions:

  1. What do they look like?
  2. How would you act?
  3. Are they nerdy?
  4. What would make you feel differently?

These questions are just examples but break it down so ridiculous that you have to laugh. We’re trying to see the bright side of this situation. Laughter has a component that allows you to let go of stress and that is what we are endorsing.

  • Feed Your Spirit

When you feed your spirit through prayer or meditation you can ask for whatever you want. Don’t just wait until things go wrong, go ahead and ask. But, don’t just ask and move on. You have to listen to when you’re putting out those prayers, information is going to come back to you and tell you what your next step is. So make sure your prayer and what you’re asking for is very clear and specific in what you want. Don’t just say “I want money”, but say how much. Don’t say “I need help”, be specific with what you need help with. If you start doing that and ask for specific needs or questions, and then stop and listen (even had a notepad handy), you’ll start to receive answers. This takes some practice, but if you spend the time doing it, you’re actually going to feed your spirit because you’ll start to have understandings and revelations about yourself and even how the world works. You’ll understand that you’re not a victim, but really in control of anything that you want. Obstacles are a chance for us to grow and evolve. The more you practice this, the more you will get results.

These are great go-to strategies that I learned from my dear friend, Roman. It’s important to remember these strategies to keep yourself mentally and emotionally strong. If you feed your spirit daily, train your mindset, and remember to laugh you will be on a path of great transformation and happiness. Feel free to ask me questions at any time if you need help in any of these areas as I will surely do my best to help.

Your Three Step Guide For Massive Transformation

By | articles, life lessons, manifestation, personal development

Moments Of Massive Transformation

It doesn’t take long for someone to realize that they may not be where they wish to be in life. This was the case for the entrepreneur, author, and transformation coach, Pattee Brown. In a recent interview I conducted with Pattee she informed me that she was not always this person that everyone sees her as now. In her twenties, she was naive, shy, and overweight. This did not stop her desire to achieve more in life. Pattee ended up losing over 150 pounds and achieving much abundance in her life. Pattee knew she had to change and what you will find is that she revealed a simple three step process that anyone can follow to achieve radical transformation in their lives. We’ll dive into how you can identify, research, and construct an action plan for your transformation.

How You Transform

You may not realize but you are always transforming. From the time you were born to where you are now you have experienced many different variations of transformation. As human beings, we tend to attach ourselves to things that bring comfort and joy and this may not always be a healthy option for us. If we do not take control of our situations and our emotional wellbeing then things tend to get out of hand. True transformation comes from Identifying the problem so you can start taking proactive steps to overcoming. Here are the three steps to achieving that.

1) Identify The Problem

Are you overweight as Pattee once was? Do you have a dis-ease hidden within the body? Are you not progressing fast enough in your personal development? The first step to creating massive transformation is acknowledging that you are unhappy with a result in your life. Whatever that result may write it down so you can see it, hear it, and feel it. Once you have written things down you are unsatisfied with move on to the next step.

2) Ask Why

Once you identify an issue it’s time to start digging. Look into why you may be overweight – have you been eating too much? Are you eating the right foods? If you have a disease look back to when you were healthy, just before you were sick. What changes occur? Did you have emotional trauma? Did you eat certain foods? Ask yourself the right questions. You have to create a situation where you can start with a clean slate. The process of asking why will help shock your subconscious and get you out of the same space where the problem arrived. This is where healing can begin.

3) Take Action

This is where the magic happens and we hear this time and time again. Take action! Project yourself where you want to be and ask yourself what you need to do right now to begin this transformation. Write down all the ways you can overcome your certain situation. Your brain is creative, expressive, and responsive just like any muscle you must use it to your advantage! Once you start asking yourself ways to overcome and heal a certain situation you will start finding those ways. It’s now up to you to take massive action on these steps and begin your transformation.

Congratulations, you are now on your way to creating massive transformation in your life! Use this method in all areas of your life in health, wealth, love, and relationships – you’ll be glad you did. If this worked for Pattee so she could lose over one hundred pounds, become an author, businesswoman, and coach it can and will surely work for you as well. You are a powerful individual who has a lot of control over their life. Now go out there and create massive transformation!

How To Get Allot Out Of A Little

Your Guide To Success

Have you wondered what could expand your business? Of course, you have. As business owners and entrepreneurs, we all look at what we can do to add more income to the bank account. If that means adding services, making changes to our daily routines, and how we manage our time more effectively – we’ll do it all. Although doing those tasks can and may change your business for the better there are other effective small changes you can make that can change your business volumes. In this article, we will go over three ways you can maximize results with minor changes to your daily routines and tasks.

  1. Pre Planning And How It Can Help You Listen Better

There is no question that listening is the key to communicating effectively. Whether you are salesmen, client, or speaking with a potential customer, how you communicate matters. In an interview with serial entrepreneur, Clint Gibbons, on Evolved Lyfe, he mentions ways on how you can listen better when calling businesses (You can find that interview here). He states that you need to put aside all distractions – cell phones, tablets, computers (unless you’re using that for the task at hand), TV, etc. By doing this you allow your brain to focus on just the task at hand. After you have taken out all distractions write down all the things you may or may not understand. This will allow you to ask better questions. We’ve written out five questions you should ask yourself so you can be a more effective communicator!

  • What makes the client think what’s not important?
  • Is there something that drives the client?
  • What is my long-term objective with this relationship with this person?
  • How do I want this person’s business to grow?
  • What’s ahead in one to two years later?

When answering these questions it’s important that you really take time to answer these honestly. This will mean the difference between gaining a client, customer, or sale. You can also ask yourself these questions when talking in person. Now we don’t expect you to pull out a pen and piece of paper to write these all down in front of a client or customer but trust your instincts. As you develop these skills they will start to come more naturally over time.

If you feel you need more references on this Tony Robbins has a blog post about The Two Keys To Persuasion. He goes over how to communicate and get right to the root of what causes others to buy your product or services.

  1. Customer Service – How To Get What You Want

For some businesses, they need to sell directly to a higher position holding individuals in a company which means needing to get past a gatekeeper. If you have ever been in business to business sales this is almost always the case. This can be a troubling and daunting task for some but there are ways to overcome this fear and produce great results!

By asking questions that are above the gatekeepers knowledge you automatically put yourself as the higher individual in the conversation. You’re not achieving this by boasting or having a bigger ego but by asking well-designed questions that put the gatekeeper on their toes. They will most likely begin to ask you questions out of curiosity about your product or service and this is your time to listen. You can develop a relationship by gaining their perspective on why they may or may not want your service. This is okay because you want the relationship and bond with that person and company. With some persistence and persuasion, you will get past the gatekeeper and arrange that call or meeting with the owner/CEO!

  1. Leadership – How To Be Better Leader

Putting this information together and utilizing the tools that Evolved Lyfe provides you will assist you in becoming an amazing leader. You are probably wondering, but how do I become the leader everyone wants to listen too? Take the following suggestions and apply them to your workspace.

  • Build Pathways For Others To Grow

When you treat your employees like you would treat a potential customer or client this allows them to make decisions for themselves. Give avenues to explore their own personal development, share what you have learned from previous mentors, and open up a source for them to learn from. When you enable the other person to learn and make their own decisions they will grow a bond with you that will last a lifetime. You will innately develop more leaders in your business which is a win-win for you and them!

  • Give Tasks That Challenge Your Team

Challenge your team to tasks that are within their abilities. Give incentives for those who call the most businesses, set up the most meetings, or successfully reach a personal goal. This will ensure your team members interact with you and stay in constant communication. After all, healthy competition in the workplace boosts productivity!

  • Be Yourself!

No one likes having a power hungry manager or owner barking down their throat. Interacting with your team members on a personal level will make them feel like they are level with you and are most likely to do what you ask them to do. Be constructive and positive with your attitude. This will make all the difference for them and YOU!

In all, there are some great strategies out there that can really boost you and your company to new levels. By utilizing just some of these techniques listed you can be sure to see some positive results in productivity, communication, and personal development. It’s important to practice these skills and listen to those around you. By asking better questions and writing them down every day you will ensure your path to success! It’s simple to get a lot out of a little!

Angela’s Journey: From Banker To Healer

Angela’s Journey: From Banker To Healer

In a world saturated with poor diets, doctors overmedicating patients, and diseases forming in all ranges, it’s fair to say that we have some work to do here on earth. Angela Vlasak was just like you and me, except she may have actually had it worse. As the inflammation progressed in her body she was diagnosed with Crohn’s disease, ulcerative colitis, fibromyalgia, and chronic fatigue syndrome just to name a few. Most of these diseases are “incurable” to our modern medicine world. This leads her to a search of self-discovery and practices that would inevitably lead her to heal all her ailments. She ended her day job and decided that the world needed to hear her miracle. This is her story.

It Starts In The Gut

There’s no getting around it. Before juice cleanses, veganism, and 21 Day Fixes, Hippocrates had said, “all disease starts in the gut”. Thousands of years later, we’ve got scientific evidence to back this up. Angela discovered first hand that this was the case. Doctors would suggest foods and medications for her ulcerative colitis, ultimately exacerbating the problem. Angela had to find a ‘futuristic’ way to heal. Enter nutrigenomics-the study of how food in itself heals the body, the gut, and better yet, your genes. The truth is what Angela was eating, and not eating, was causing inflammation which was actually triggering her body’s response to one of illness. “Inflammation is the response of the immune system to foreign invaders, toxins and cell injury. Chronic inflammation, involving the entire body, is believed to drive many killer diseases. – https://www.healthline.com

Mind Over Matter

This was not an easy feat. She had to overcome mental strains, cravings, and the challenges of everyday life from her diseases, but she found solace in adding one simple addition to her morning routine. She would wake up, write down three things she was grateful for, and spend at least ten minutes appreciating everything she was going through. How can any sane person be thankful for living such a painful life? Well, she teaches that in order for the mind to overcome disease and heal, we need to create a loving and accepting mindset to soothe our nervous system. When we stay in a stress-induced mindset, we prohibit the nervous system from healing. You know that one-million-year-old instinct fight or flight? Unfortunately, we kept that way of thinking even if we are not dodging flying spears and running from wild animals.

Think of a time something scared, challenged, or stressed you. In times like these, your brain thinks it needs to defend itself from a threat – the nervous system tenses the muscles, stresses the cells, and if left alone too long, begins to damage the body. Do you see how this relates? Like every other human being, when Angela felt fearful she was preventing her body from naturally healing the root causes of her diseases. It might not have been her fault that the issues arose but how she dealt with them was her choice – free will.

“If it doesn’t challenge you, it won’t change you” – Angela Vlasek.

How can you apply Angela’s winning formula for success to your life for improved health and wellness?

Stress Conversion – To convert stress into joy, Angela practices a morning routine for just seven days.

  1. Wake up ten minutes earlier than normal.
  2. Write down the things you are grateful for.
  3. Appreciate your life – everyone and everything inside it.
  4. At the end of those seven days, write down what is different.  Use these questions to measure results.
    1. How does your mind process differently?
    2. How does your body feel?
    3. Are you more in tune with the world around you?
    4. See how seven days can make all the difference.

Design Your Life Wellness

Angela has an amazing methodology on a diet which she created with Design Your Life Wellness that reduces inflammation and reverses the effects of auto immunes disease for many people. If you want to learn more you can book a free 20-minute call-in session where you can share your story and she will guide you through the process.

hacking beliefs around money

10 common limiting beliefs on money and how to change them

By | articles, making money

The different perspectives on money are astounding. It is one of those things that we have so many mixed beliefs around. On the one hand we want it, and lots of it! On the other we’ve somehow learned all kinds of negative things about money. So before we get into specific beliefs that may be holding you back from having more money in your life let’s just define what money is.

Money: Something generally accepted as a medium of exchange, a measure of value, or a means of payment:

Now let’s break this down: Money is a medium of exchange – it is a tool of commerce. If we went back to the days before money existed people used a barter system. Under the barter system often there was more time spent trying to trade the items that you produced than their was producing them. Everyone had to have sales and customer service skills.  So much time was wasted. By having currency humans improved the efficiency of all of commerce. It allowed us to go from huts to houses, it allowed us to jump from poverty to wealth. Having currency changed everything! It’s created opportunity for everyone.

Money is a measure of value. If money is a measure of value the more value you create – then the more money you should receive. However, it is up to you set your pricing and refuse to work for less than you are worth. If you can’t get paid what you think you are worth, then improve your skillset, output, productivity – learn how to create more value you will get paid for it.

Money is a means of payment. Money is a way for people to reward others for work done, risks taken and value added. It is a way to show appreciation of another’s aptitude.

Money itself is not good or bad – money does not pick up a gun and shoot someone nor does it call 911 when someone is having a heart attack. It is up to you to decide how to use money; for you to do what you think is right with it. That being said let’s look at 10 common limiting beliefs about money.

Now before we go any further if you’d rather watch this one video be sure to check out my facebook page where I do videos almost everyday on a variety of topics.

1. “Money is the root of all evil.”

This belief has been perpetuated because scripture has been taken out of context. It actually is “the love of money…” This is because people that are solely driven by the desire to have money often let their ego’s take control.  When the ego is in control they are more susceptible to making decisions that don’t take into account humanity. The ego is very individualistic and when it’s in the driver seat in regards to money it can be very selfish. This is also true for the ego in other areas of life.

When we look at media the news, movies, tv it often vilifies those with riches because it is written to appeal to the masses. The hero must be broke to do this.  In addition their are people out there who are being run by their egos. Those people often “step on the little guy” to get ahead. This is not always the case. People like Bill Gates, Barron Hilton, Larry Ellison & Carl Icahn have pledged to give away billions to those less fortunate. The truth is the only way to eradicate poverty is with money – and lots of it.

A more appropriate belief is that “money is a magnifier.” Having money makes you more of who you are. It allows you to do more of anything and everything. If you are the type of person who wants the best for mankind than it is very important for you to have as much money as possible. You’ll be able to give more.

Entrepreneurs create massive wealth for themselves and others. In fact by comparison in most incidences the entrepreneurs only keep a small fraction of the wealth that they generate. The money companies produce employees millions.  Those employees have families and friends that they use daily to put food on the table, to buy homes and spend on items that employ more people. Spending money is actually adding value to society.

Money as a medium of exchange facilitates progress towards goals. So when setting goals around making money have a charitable component, a reason larger than yourself to earn and you’ll be living a life where “Money is the tool that allows you to do good for humanity.”

Replace this belief with: “Money is the tool that allows me to do good for humanity.”

2. “Money is not that important. It’s only money.”

This belief is a common way for people to not take control of their destiny.  It’s much easier to state money is not important. The truth is money will allow you to live your fullest expression of life. Many people think about the things they can have with money – while this may be a fundamental motivator it is not enough to create wealth.  When you think about all the good that you can do for your family, friends and community it becomes much more palatable. It may mean you can help people with debt, access to better education or living circumstances. It may mean that you can provide experiences that bring joy, that allow people to expand their ability to create by believing more is possible. When you create wealth it shows others that they can too. When you have an abundance of money you can use money towards a cause that you feel is noble. It’s up to you to decide how you spend it. It can be a new or improved product or service or you can even donate it directly to a charity.

Replace this belief with something like: “With an abundance of money I can live a fuller expression of the life I want to live and I can help others in the process.”

3. “Money is there to be spent.”

This belief will make sure that you stay broke! Most people are trained to spend the money they have in trade for immediate gratification. This day in age the majority of people are living paycheck to paycheck working in jobs that they don’t love – therefore come the end of the week it is time to celebrate – this may mean going out to the bar, buying those new shoes, upgrading your vehicle or even just getting that morning latte on the way to work. While anyone of these things in casual doses is a great way to reward yourself for the hardwork and sacrifice you have made when they become habits it’ll make a huge dent in your financial situation.

If you save just $10 a day for 25 years you can turn that it into $1mm by leveraging compound interest. Take an audit of where you are spending your cash daily – eliminate the subscriptions, reduce your insurance expenses by shopping around, reduce your debts and put that money into an interest bearing account and you will surely be on your way to being a millionaire. This money saved does not need to be retirement – maybe you want to start a business and you can then become your own investor!

Replace this belief with: “The money I save today will allow me to live my dreams.”

4. “The rich get richer and the poor get poorer.”

People that believe this often have been misinformed by some authority that does not have any money. It’s much easier for us to be victims of circumstance than to take ownership of our own life. If this is your belief you will be better served by focusing on the millions of rags to riches stories. Make a commitment to write yours. I am one of those stories. How did I do it? It started by changing my belief to one of empowerment. When I decided to write down my goals and pursue them incessantly it only took a few months for the money to start rolling in. Yes there were several things that I tried first that put me in a bind but it was all part of the learning process. You didn’t learn to take your first step and fall down as a toddler only to decide you could crawl everywhere instead. You had to take a second step and a third and eventually you got the hang of it.  You may have fallen several times but learned what worked and what did not. Stay motivated by focusing on the wins and what you learned from each misstep along the way and you will quickly be on your way to getting richer.

Change this belief to: “By focusing my thoughts and emotions on my goals I get richer.”

5. “I’m just not good with money.”

You may have had made some terrible decisions with money in the past – but that does not mean you will in the future. Carrying this belief will reinforce it so long as you are looking for evidence of how you could have better spent your money. Instead focus on the fact that you can always learn something new. When i bought my first condo it was the height of the market – the value dropped by 2/3rds and I lost over $200,000. It was a painful experience but well worth it because the next condo I purchased I made over $500,000 on. I learned how to navigate the market better, when to buy, where to buy and how to buy. You can learn how to be more efficient with your money. By reading this you’ve already taken a giant leap. If this is your concern start tracking your expenses and read a book on money management – you can even get great books for free on youtube. I highly recommend “Money Masters the Game” by Tony Robbins. He interviews the experts and you’ll walk learn exactly how you can turn your money management skills into dollars and cents. Listen to it while you drive to work and start implementing the steps.  You don’t even have to figure things out – it’s laid out right for you how to create tremendous wealth.

Change this belief to: “I always learn better ways to manage my money and therefore it grows.”

6. “My family has never been rich.”

I remember my Grandmother coming to my condo in Miami for the first time. She walked in slowly and took three steps before she could move further she topped to catch her breath. I waited for her to speak. I was really excited to finally have her in one of my homes – she never got to visit before. She looked at me and smiled. I looked back and smiled, with pressing eyes wanting to know what she thought. Nana looked up at me and said “So this is how the ‘other half’ live.”  She was so incredibly proud of me.  I am living proof that this belief is FALSE!

The source of people thinking wealth is in their DNA actually comes from either very misinformed or corrupt individuals. Back in the days of the feudal systems it was extremely difficult to move through the classes – where you were born is where you will die. However this is not the case in the 21st century. Just look at the thousands of rags to riches stories – or even look at those who started with money and squandered it. Accumulating wealth is a combination of two factors – How much value you create in the world & your ability to invest any riches you generate.

Fortunately, I was able to generate so much wealth that I gave my parents a huge sum of money that allowed them to retire 10 years early.  My parents started off broke but they made amazing decisions and created tons of value – they actually only use that money for investment and do not need to live off of it.  The ability to give back to my parents was one of the most rewarding moments of my life!

Change this belief to: “I create such an abundance of wealth I can change the life of anyone I choose.”

7. “Money is a limited resource.”

While technically speaking money is a finite resource – around $250 trillion – that would actually give every person on the earth about $35k.  However the really neat thing about money is that it is liquid – that means so long as it is circulated there is always enough to go around. If you had $35k everyday do you think you’d run out? How would you live differently if you knew that each day you could start with $35k?

The only thing that will ever end poverty is money and the circulation of it.  By you creating wealth for yourself and spending it on products and services you love you are actually doing good for mankind. Money is only a limited resource for those who do not understand this law of circulation. The more you give, the more you will get, unless of course you believe it is a limited resource because when you do you are creating resistance to seeing it show up!

Change this belief to: “There is more than enough money for me and everyone else to live a fulfilling life.”

8. “You have to work hard to get wealthy.”

When I was growing up my father worked multiple jobs to get by. I heard him say “You have to work hard to get rich.” thousands of times throughout my childhood. Do you know when you finally became wealthy? Shortly after he retired from his 9-5 at the railroad was when he actually had cash start rolling in. His hourly rate went up by 6x (I challenged him to 10x it and still believe he would have gotten paid.) He started doing some part time real estate and has had months where he’s made more than he made in his best year working fewer hours.

Here’s what happens when you carry this belief – you only look for jobs that require you to work hard. The reality is that there is something that you love to do, that you have the talent to do and there is someone out there willing to pay you handsomely for it. Rethink what you truly enjoy to do and see what the marketplace is for it. When you invest in yourself and what you are called to do, where you have natural talent and enjoy it – that is when you can get so good at it that you will make more than you ever thought possible – because you get so good at it! It may mean that you have to take a short term pay cut to go down this direction – but if you love it not only will it be worth it for your quality of life but before long the riches will come. Don’t let shortsightedness hold you back from living your dream life.

Change this belief to: “When I do what I love I create the most wealth.”

9. You are either rich or happy, healthy, kind, good parent, etc….

Many times we see rich people who have sacrificed another area of their life in order to create financial success. This out of balance view can happen in any category of your life if you are not 100% conscious how you are spending your time. It is so easy to hustle on things that do not have a large impact. If you want riches, healthy, happiness or any other feeling, experience or thing you must have a clear picture of what is important to you. Fuzzy Targets don’t get hit.

You can create a life of balance so long as you create an accurate picture of what is important to you. In fact having money can allow you to be: Happier – have experiences that are larger than we’ve ever imagined. Healthier – gym membership & personal trainers, higher quality food. Better parents – access to better education for ourselves and children, setting an example of how to create value and use money in a way that serves humanity.

Change this belief to: “I know what is important to me and having money helps me to get more of it.”

10. “It’s selfish to want a lot of money.”

As mentioned several times in this article, money comes as the result of adding value.  Directing your time and energy towards creating something of value deserves to be rewarded. The more value you add the more money you will receive. Having wealth is a direct result of creating value – it is a reflection of created value – this means that selfishness will actually repel money.

So many people are so proud of being poor, they are proud of their humility – which is anything but humble. There is no nobility in being poor – ask anyone who has been poor and rich and they will say being rich is hands down more enjoyable than being poor.

Change this belief to: “The more value I create in the world the more money I receive.” or “The wealth I have is a direct reflection of how much value I have created.”

There you have it.  Now it’s time for you to discover what other beliefs that may be helping you or limiting you in regards to money. If you have a limiting belief around money and are not sure how to rewrite or hack it be sure to write me on facebook!

Go To Strategies For Overcoming Obstacles

By | articles, life lessons, my journey, personal development

my-go-to-strategies-for-overcoming-obstacles

I’ve been fortunate to have a great deal of success in my life, but there’s been a lot of adversity too. We all have times in our lives where we are blindsided by something being thrown at us we didn’t expect. There are some go-to strategies that I have to help me overcome obstacles that come my way that I wanted to share in hopes that they might help you too.

I’ve shared numerous stories where I’ve had to overcome obstacles throughout my life. One, for example, is when I was backpacking through Europe and I ended up sleeping on the floor of the Amsterdam train station. Back then, the train station was a little scary of an environment and I definitely stood out as someone who didn’t belong there amongst the others. I honesty didn’t know if I would make it through the night and had to make friends with people that I never thought I would make friends with to just get through the night as I was surrounded by people who were definitely up to no good. These people saw me as a target.

Another time was when I had a great 3 years traveling around from country to country on a shoe string budget with a backpack most of the time and finding whatever job I needed to get to help me get by. I had made some amazing relationships along the way and had a girlfriend at the time. However, when I was living in Sweden, we broke up and I was completely heartbroken, broke and had to come back to the United States and start from scratch. It was terrifying to do it, but I found my way.

There’s major adversity that we all face at one time or another. There are three things that I look at when I know that I’m facing adversity and they’re three things that I can do consistently to make sure that I am set up as best as possible for growth and have some kind of spring board.

Here are the 3 go to strategies:

  1. Make sure your mind is right. There’s so much information out there these days that actually can scare us and hold us back. What ends up happening is that we end up in a place where our mind is thinking about all the stuff going on around us in a negative way. Even when we watch TV, there’s so much stuff that we watch that’s really overdramatized and that can actually affect us. So the first thing I look at when things are going wrong, is what am I feeding my mind. Am I watching things that give me anxiety or scare me? Am I surrounding myself with people who say or do things that make me feel bad or any negative emotion like fear, anxiety or depression etc. Any information we take in can have an affect on us. If I am in a place where there’s going to be some craziness going on or big changes, the first thing I need to do is make sure that I’m feeding myself information that’s going to make me believe that this is for the best and will create change that will ultimately help me get through. For example, I might watch a video from an inspirational speaker or an uplifting movie, which can help to give me inspiration and hope. If we feed ourselves things that make us feel we can’t do something or maybe the world is against us, then we will end up feeling that way. Sometimes we are feeling this way and then have people around us feeling the same way and when we are trying to do something beyond where we are, those people are going to hold us back. Surround yourself with lots of possibilities so this way it comes into your mind that it is possible to move forward and make a better life for yourself and you can overcome any obstacles that might come your way.
  2. Feed your spirit. When you feed your spirit, that can be through prayer or meditation etc. You can ask for whatever you want. Don’t just wait until things go wrong, go ahead and ask. But, don’t just ask and move on. You have to listen as when you’re putting out those prayers, information is going to come back to you and tell you what your next step is. Be prepared that life will throw curveballs your way but it’s often just to put you in another path better for you. Obstacles are a chance for us to grow and evolve. The more you practice this, the more you will get results.
  3. Take care of your body. For me, if I’m not healthy, my mind isn’t going to function as well as it should, I won’t have the energy to meditate, think clearly or take the actions I need to take. Make sure that you’re taking the best care of your body that you can. That doesn’t mean you can’t go out with friends or celebrate and indulge at times. You can do those things that are an exception, but it can’t be something you do regularly. You have to enjoy your life, of course. Look to eat things that are healthy, but it doesn’t have to be a drastic change. Your life depends on it. This goes for food, information, exercise etc. Think of everything that you take in as consumption and you’re going to get out what you put in. Keeping your body healthy will give you a lot more energy to do the things you need to do.

Those are three takeaways that I’ve learned. When I was in the train station in Amsterdam, I had to make sure I was resourceful. I sat there and thought about what was going through my mind and when I was in fear from all these strangers standing above me realizing things could get really bad, I stopped and thought about what I was feeling. I realized there was no reason for them to attack me and decided to think positive thoughts and then all of a sudden, one of them started talking to me and I ended up buddying up with him. Then others started to talk to us and it’s because I got my mind and my thoughts right and prayed and listened for what I needed to do next, even in that moment, which helped me get through it.

Make sure you’re constantly feeding yourself the right foods, information and feed your spirit and soul because you’ll get so much more out of life. I hope this helps you in your journey and please don’t hesitate to ask any questions you might have in the comment section below and I’ll do my best to answer and help.

Compassion & Forgiveness

By | articles, life lessons, personal development

compassion-and-forgiveness

Compassion and forgiveness work well together as when you have a sense of compassion, it’s much easier to forgive. There’s an old saying that when the student is ready, the teacher will appear. This is a personification of every single event that happens in our lives. The events around us are actually here to teach us what is going on with us to help us to learn and grow. This is the same thing with any circumstance or with any person that you meet. What we see in others, we must’ve seen before for us to understand it, so it must live somewhere inside of us. If we see someone that is angry, that’s what we recognize because we’ve been angry before. If we see someone that’s happy and we see all the positive things, it’s because we’ve been in that state before and if we’re in that state of positivity, we will see more positive things about other people. This is true for every emotion.

We’re going to experience ourselves by witnessing what other people do. As you practice this, you’ll start to see the connections. As you use this and realize that you’ve been in this state that the other person is in before, it’s going to get much easier to manage it. It’s not necessarily the same situation for you as is for them. Your reaction you have will either be to perpetuate a situation or to learn from it and move forward. It’s really important to learn the aspect of compassion because as you do, it’s going to make things significantly better for you.

An example: You’re driving and late for an appointment. You might feel stressed, anxious and needing to do whatever you can to save time. This might mean that you have to change lanes more often than you should, drive faster than you probably should and maybe even cut some people off here and there. Maybe your conscientious of it or maybe not and just in your own world. Other people might honk their horns at you or even yell at you and get upset with how you’re driving and that’s a reaction on their part. Now, if you flip this around and you were actually driving and had all the time in the world to get where you were going and someone else was running late, are you the person that lets that person get in your lane or do you get upset and yell and honk at them? Do you let their actions change what you’re doing? When someone cuts you off, it’s really up to you to decide how you’re going to react and respond to it. You can get really angry and let that take you over or you could be the person that actually lets the person in and then they can’t cut you off because you’re actually letting them go in front of you. When you reframe things like that, this is an act of compassion because you’ve been in a rush before and can empathize with them. You’re offering compassion by letting them get in front of you or choosing to get out of the fast lane because you see them quickly approaching going faster than you are so you get out of the way to let them pass.

This is true for life as well, if you act with compassion and remember a time when you were in a similar state to that other person. Before you ever react to someone, determine what state they’re in, because if you can do that, you can remember a time you were in that same one and show them some compassion. You can put yourself back into those shoes and think about what could’ve been done to help you when you were in that moment. Display that to the person in that similar state at that moment and you’ll find that their reaction to this will help take them out of that state and you’ll make the day significantly better for them, but also for yourself. When you start doing this, people’s reactions to you become so positive that you might even find yourself looking for situations where you can show someone that compassion they really need. You get to learn a lot about yourself in this process. It’s your responsibility to be the bigger, better person. The more you do this, the more great situations will arrive in your life. Things that were once challenging for you, become petty and as you practice this, it becomes easier and easier.

An action you can take to help raise your level of compassion is to take a deep breath and then evaluate how you’ve been in a similar situation before and what the similar emotion was that’s projecting. Then ask yourself how you can show compassion, empathy or sympathy to respond to and better the situation. Don’t get attached the outcome. People may or may not respond how you want them to as that’s up to them, not you. All that’s up to you is moving forward, seeing the opportunity in the situation and maintaining your state of being. All we can do is be our best selves.

When it comes to forgiveness, it works in a similar way as compassion does. At the end of the day, you’ve likely experience the emotion that the other person is experiencing. Try to put things into perspective. For instance, maybe someone has wronged you. Rather than figuring out a way to level the playing field, remember that forgiveness is all about the person doing the forgiving. It’s completely up to you to decide to forgive someone. Think of a time when someone might have wronged or hurt you and rather than looking at how they hurt you, look at how they were hurting. Ask yourself how they could do something like that. Maybe their state of mind was in a sense of pain. When you can actually find what that state was, what their pain was and remember a time where you were feeling that same way and you might’ve acted out, then you can start the process of forgiveness. This doesn’t mean that you let the person continue to do this to you over and over again, it’s simply about letting go of whatever it was that they did and whatever pain it might’ve caused so that you’re not hanging on to that energy. Ideally, you want to forget that they even did it.

I hope this helps you and that you share it with others you know that are suffering and maybe need to learn to be more in the moment and learn how to show compassion and also learn to forgive.

Turning Stress Into Play

By | articles, life lessons, personal development

turning-stress-into-play

We all have times in our life where things seem overwhelming with too many commitments or things going on. If you can find a way to make those times enjoyable and fun instead of stressful, they’ll be easier to get through.

As kids, we had scenarios all of the time that we actually create. Whether we were playing with action figures or dolls or playing video games, we were creating all kinds of fun scenarios. Back then we enjoyed the challenges that came along. Yet as adults, we have these challenges and situations that arise and we think that everything is at stake and we start to get stressed out by some of the most smallest, mundane things, rather than approaching it with this model of play and fun. It’s so much more exciting when you do that. Maybe you have work responsibilities and you try to think of every way you could get out of having to do the work and instead just take it easy because you’re not looking forward to all that comes with that job. Try to look for any aspects of your job that you enjoy and focus on those things. As you do this, you’ll likely find ways you can enjoy what you do and not dread going in each day. Try to keep a lightheartedness with stressful situations and opportunities will start to open up to you. As problems or issues arise and you get over them, it will be a whole new experience for you as things will start to get better.

The easy way out is to say you can’t do something or tell yourself something isn’t working. We all have those negative voices in our head, but remember that challenges can turn into fun if you keep the right mindset. If you approach your day with positive thoughts, regardless of what issues might come your way, you’ll make things easier on yourself. As soon as you start to feel that anxiety over something, ask yourself how you can make solving the problem at hand fun. At the end of the day, you want to enjoy your life, and how do you do that?? HAVE FUN!!

Know that getting to this place will take some practice. Don’t get discouraged as sooner or later, you’ll figure out a way to turn your stress into fun! The cool thing is that with every issue you come across, it will help you to step up your game and rise to the opportunities.

Making Drastic Change Is The Only Way To Get Drastic Results

By | articles, life lessons, personal development

making-drastic-change-is-the-only-way-to-get-drastic-results

If you want to get drastic results, you have to make drastic changes. Quantum physics plays a huge role in making these huge leaps and if it’s like this in physics, it actually applies to your life. To make a quantum leap is significantly different than this gradual process. Typically we think of time and space, for example, as a distance, a location and a clock setting. The reality is that we have to look forward beyond that and think to quantum physics. What happens with quantum physics is that things can change in an instant with out being a linear progression. Particles and waves can move from location to location with seamlessly no effort, energy being used or time being taken. They can actually show up in multiple places at once.

If we take that same idea that things can just happen overnight, and maybe if you think back to a time where things just clicked for you and all of a sudden it became easy, that’s a quantum leap. This happens all the time, so it’s highly likely you’ve already experienced this before in some aspect of your life. In order to do this, control it and make it actually happen for us, we have to follow a few key principles and think in a certain way so that we can make these quantum leaps and make drastic change to get the drastic results. It’s great to grow things 1% each day, 10% each week or whatever works for you and get a little bit better every day. It’s not as painful or as much risk involved, but at the end of the day, there’s also not as much reward when you do these things slowly and gradually.

We want to make better decisions and learn from our experiences, but a lot of time what happens is that we get to a point of diminishing returns where the only way we can get better, is to work harder. Even if you’ve done something several times and it’s worked well for you each time, at a certain point, what worked before doesn’t continue to work. You probably don’t want to have to work 100 times harder today than you did yesterday. You should be enjoying yourself and having a good time with it, but in order to get there, you have to let go of things that hold you back. That means you have to let go of beliefs and the way you’re doing things and the decisions you’re making on a daily basis. If you don’t, you’ll end up doing the same thing day in and day out and if you’re doing the same thing every day, you’re going to get the same results. I’m sure you’ve heard the saying that the definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again but expecting different results.

The first thing you should think about if you want to make quantum change is actually to quit trying harder. If you have goals that you’ve set for yourself, to get to them, yes you can work harder on them. But, that’s only going to serve to do one thing… make sure that you work harder! Quantum leaps actually come when you let go of the things that aren’t working for your and change your way of thinking to where you believe that anything is possible and that without a doubt, there’s a way to do it. That doesn’t necessarily require more work. You know that you’re going to come to a place where you might have a hurdle to overcome or a new path to take and sometimes going around it isn’t necessarily the path of most resistance, but the path of most allowance. If you start thinking that you’re going to take things in the path of most allowance, then things start to happen for you and get easier. So working harder ends of up not being the case at all and instead, you actually work with less energy need to accomplish the same amount. You’ll be able to accomplish so much more by actually changing the way you think about things and letting go of the belief that you have to work harder.

Quantum leaps come when you seek that elegant solution. Think about smart phones like the iPhone. That was a quantum leap in technology in thinking of what phones would be able to do. Many of us find ourselves using the phone for far more than just making calls, whether it be texting, taking pictures or using the many apps provided to us. It’s truly a super computer in your hand that can do so much. So, when you think about what the elegant solution is with things, you’re going to solve problems and find new opportunities by thinking what the easiest way to do things are by taking the least amount of steps in having the most impact. To do this, you’re going to have to ignore your conventional approaches because while you only know that you know, there’s so much more information that you don’t know.

When you start to take a look at things in a way that allows you to think bigger, about the challenges and the opportunities that lie in each one of those challenges, that’s an opportunity for you to make a change and pivot off what you’re doing. Look for the approach that is characterized by things that are simplistic, have precision, efficiencies, are repeatable and neat and they won’t be as complex and time consuming as the other steps you’re used to taking. Otherwise you’ll continue to follow the pattern of doing the same thing and having the same results. This might serve you for a period of time, but not in the long term, but more gradual growth.

To make quantum shifts, you really have to start focusing on the possibilities rather than your limits and obstacles. Move outside your current beliefs and boundaries and when you catch yourself complaining about how something is, try to change and reword it to a positive thought. As a result, you’ll start to get all kinds of intuitions on how to solve problems you may be experiencing and that will create huge opportunities for you, people around you and possibly even the world. So, taking that approach makes things so much more simplistic, a lot of fun and you multiply your performance potential in every aspect of your life.

If you’re going to doubt something, doubt your limits!

Rather than fighting against the current, going with the flow always brings great opportunities. When you see a problem, look at the solutions instead of the problem.. not just the solutions, but the opportunities created from that problem. What ends up happening if you focus on the problem, is that it just gets bigger. But if you put a positive spin to your thinking and focus on how you can go about making the result a better one and figuring out the path to get there, you’ll start to get those intuitions and have huge breakthroughs.

I hope this helps you. Please subscribe to my YouTube channel to keep up to date with all of my other videos.
